If an uninsured driver hit motorcycle riders in California, the crash does not end your options. Insurance affects how a claim gets paid. It does not decide who caused the crash.<\/p>\n

An uninsured driver can still be responsible for the harm they cause. California law says everyone must use ordinary care, and a person who doesn’t can be responsible for injuries that follow (Civ. Code \u00a7 1714<\/a>). Lack of insurance changes how money gets paid. It doesn’t change who was at fault.<\/p>\n

What Should You Do Right After the Crash With an Uninsured Driver?<\/h2>\n

Get medical care first, even if your injuries seem minor. Tell every provider the injury came from a motorcycle crash. Keep every record, bill and work note.<\/p>\n
